District of Vanderhoof
Incorporated in 1926, Vanderhoof is nestled in the beautiful Nechako Valley, Vanderhoof is surrounded by fertile farmlands, kilometers of forests, wilderness waterfalls and many lakes and rivers. The traditional natural resource based economy has diversified slowly, but continues to be forestry, agriculture and tourism based. The town is home to several lumber mills, both large scale and home-based. Forage crops and cattle production are the major agrictulrue products of the area.
