The North West Regional Hospital District (NWRHD) was established in December 1995 by Letters Patent. It shares the same boundaries as the entire Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine (RDKS) and North Coast Regional District, and the western portion of the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako (RDBN). The NWRHD is the largest hospital district geographically in the province of BC.
